Not Bad for my Age
I have not really ever been concerned about age because it's just a measure of time spent so far. Birthdays come and go, and it doesn't bother me to truthfully state my age. The only birthday that even made me pause, was my 33rd. That was the day I became as old as God.
Seriously. I am a Christian (one who believes that Jesus Christ was the only son of the one true God, and that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross for my sins), and since my savior was fully God, and lived 33 years before being crucified, I take that to mean that God's age is 33. After all, death stops the age count.
Sure he resurrected, but then he ascended into Heaven. If one is going to live eternally, there's not much point in counting the years. So, now that 33 is only a long-gone year in my life, I'm officially older than God.
Passing 33 was one of those "Whoa!" moments in my life. Look at what Jesus accomplished in that amount of time. I doubt I did as much in 33 years as He did in any given day. (Ego deflated by that!) On the bright side, I suppose I look pretty good for my age, given that I am older than God!
